My paintings are abstracted interpretations of flora and fauna seeking to bring to the viewer a new experience that goes beyond the “real.” I look for elements in a subject that I find interesting – an unusual edge contour or nuanced color relationship – to give them greater importance. I want these discoveries to call out “see me!,” “look at what has been found!”
Working in oil on canvas and using the properties of art; color, line, form, movement, I hope to create a new and interesting visual experience that delights and intrigues.
