PROMOTING YOUR SPACE FOR OPEN STUDIOS
In the days leading up to Open Studios, Sherman Artists and Sherman Artists Association Facebook pages and our Sherman Artists Instagram page will be promoting individual artists with a description of the artist, location and a request to FOLLOW THE YELLOW SIGNS and PLAN YOUR TOUR. We have updated our website and its interactive! Click on the individual artists to see their artist description as well as links to their website or social media pages.
Please share these with your friends, family and local groups such as artists groups, event pages and town pages. Be sure to include critical info if needed as some pages require addresses, emails, and phone numbers or posts will be deleted.
Getting the word out will help promote our event, draw more people to Sherman and our Open Studio Tour.
Be sure to promote your fellow artists as well. Once you get visitors, find out where they have been and what locations would be next for them. Linda, JCC, MaryJane Magoon, Senior Center and Town Hall would want to promote Kenny, Tony and MJ Newman and vice versa. If folks are coming from the north, then they would direct south to us.
Take videos, ”go live” and post your space on social media the WEEKEND OF THE EVENT! This will continue to draw people in and keep this event active on social media. Share your setup, if you have treats, drinks, demos or a craft for visitors, mention it in your video.

MARKETING SOCIAL MEDIA TIPS
Define goals
Set goals and objectives for your social media marketing that align with your business’s goals. This will help you measure your success.
Choose the right platforms
Consider which platforms best complement your brand and target audience. You don’t need to be on every platform.
Engage with your audience
Share content that interests your followers and actively engage with them. Reply to comments, provide suggestions, and add value.
Collaborate with influencers
Influencers can help you reach new audiences and generate brand awareness. An influencer is an individual who has the power to affect the purchasing decisions of others because of their authority, knowledge, position, or relationship with their audience.
Create a content calendar
A content calendar helps you stay organized and consistent with your posting schedule. It also helps you plan for holidays and events. A consistent posting schedule/advertising helps establish credibility and shows that your business is active and engaged.
Use social media tools
Social media tools can help you maximize your reach and improve engagement. Invest in advertising. Relying solely on organic posts for discovery on social media won’t get you very far. Use lead generating or remarketing ads. These help to target people who have already visited your website and therefore ideal for lead generation and sales.
Analyze your data
PREPARING YOUR POST
Take your composed text –make sure you have all the correct details and information you want conveyed to your audience. I use ChatGPT for the below:
You can ask the program to “make text more exciting” or “make more professional” or “elaborate more on my strengths”
PREPARING YOUR POST
It’s important to review the information summary provided back from the program as information could be elaborated too much (if it seems too good to be true or the info is not something you actually do) you will want to adjust it. You can interact with the program to tweak what you want edited out –“please remove the word – or thank you, but can you make it more-”
